We learned some valuable lessons in burying our shipping container and found an excellent option for our situation. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. This container will be used for extra storage. We wanted to be able to store all our belongings somewhere while we build our home, but didn’t want the eye sore of a huge blue container on our wilderness property. Then not having the headache of trying to have the container removed later is also a plus. We opted to do a rebar reinforced retention wall and slab over the container. We did a monolithic pour with the walls and footings. We have been so blessed to have generous people in our community loan equipment to us for tackling these major projects!
