SHTF guns and gear. Taking a look at a couple new “manual transmission” Ruger American Rimfire rifles in 22 magnum and discussing the advantages of having simple, reliable and robust guns in an emergency setting. Bolt action, pump action or lever action firearms are certainly not high speed, nor are they optimized for combat. They are however extremely easy to operate and maintain. In a grid down or disaster scenario, these guns are excellent as general purpose firearms that don’t require much skill to use or keep in action. I tend to prioritize these advantages over having high speed shootability when it comes to more long term emergency scenarios. #SHTF #Prepping #SHTFGunsAndAmmo
