1822 General Henri Dufour visited that cave to write about it. Its called the "Schafloch", sheep hole in english. We have sheep up there. Then before the second world war the swiss army built this bunker into it. Reinforcements in the form of concrete walls, iron doors and shooting holes. It wasnt used, and is currently open to hikers at own risk. Its at a 1780 meters over the sea.
