I'm exploring with Andrea on Kinmen island, the most fortified island of Taiwan, just 6km away from rival China. During decades of tension between the countries, countless military forts, bunkers and tunnels were constructed. During the years many of them became abandoned. We search the island to explore the most interesting places the island has to offer. In this episode we explore the highlight of the island, an enormous abandoned military underground hospital, which is hidden beneatth a granite mountain. This provided a natural protection against possible artillery and airstrikes from China. This hospital was constructed in 1978 and was left abandoned in 2007.
