High above Boulogne-sur-Mer lies the eerie remains of Batterie de la Crèche — a coastal fortress first built by the French, later seized and fortified by Nazi Germany as part of the infamous Atlantic Wall. Armed with massive guns, underground tunnels, and observation posts, it once stood ready to repel an Allied invasion. Now, decades later, it lies abandoned… hidden behind broken fences and overgrown paths. We couldn’t resist stepping inside — but soon realised, maybe we shouldn’t be here.
