Join me and my Labrador retriever, Cedar, on a peaceful wilderness survival adventure as I set up camp and navigate the forest. On this backcountry hike, we spend 3 days in the mountains with no shelter and very limited food (a small piece of pemmican is all I have). I'll have to use essential survival skills to create a primitive shelter or bough bed and forage wild foods from nature. Our destination is a peaceful mountain lake, teaming with rainbow and cutthroat trout. Hopefully the Tenkara flyrod I have along is enough for some bushcraft cooking. This solo camping trip highlights the beauty and challenges of the outdoors.
